Ara General Trading Company was established in 1979, pioneering general cooling services in North Iraq. We began developing our activities supplying cooling units to the market and projects, becoming well-known for offering design, services and supply of cooling units.

2003: We became the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Agency for American York International through the Iraqi authorized distributor Winter International (Al Dohan) Company, head office in Amman, for York Products Unitary and Engineering Group.

2005: Johnson Controls acquired York International, forming Johnson Controls — York by Johnson Controls.

2006: The Iraqi distributor agency transferred to Noor Al Diyar Company (NAD) as the Iraqi authorized distributor for York Johnson Products. We continue as the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Distributor for York Johnson Products through NAD.

2011: We started with American brand Lennox with authorized distribution in Kurdistan & North of Iraq, covering rooftop package units (heavy duty), air cooled chillers, DX ducted type splits up to 20TR, and VRF systems.

2016: We started with Japanese brand Hitachi with authorized distribution in Kurdistan & North of Iraq for rooftop package units.

We also deal with MP3-Italy Air Division covering full range products from grilles & diffusers to exhaust fans, ventilation systems up to air handling units. We source high-quality accessories from USA, Spain, Italy, and Turkey supplying chillers, boilers, AHUs, fan coil units, exhaust fans, duct heaters, flexible ducts, compressors, thermostats, and water pumps.
